Zubeen Garg — A Man, A Legacy, A Soul Divine : A poetic homage to the brilliance of genius
A man, a legacy, a soul divine,
Zubeen walked Earth like a
fleeting sign.
Not just a singer, but a storm
of grace,
A voice that danced through time
and space.
Like Michael Jackson moonwalking
through the stars,
Or Bob Marley strumming peace
through scars,
They came with fire, with
rhythm, with light,
To heal the world, then vanished
from sight.
So came Zubeen, Assam’s own
flame,
A thousand songs etched in his
name.
He sang of rivers, of love, of
pain,
Of monsoon hearts and midnight
rain.
He did not wait for time to
bend,
He raced ahead to meet the end.
Genius knows no measured pace
It burns, it blazes, leaves
trace.
He gave us Ya Ali, a prayer, a
cry,
That soared like falcons in the
sky.
He gave us Pakeeza, tender and
true,
A melody dipped in morning dew.
He gave his soul to every line,
Each note a spark, each word
divine.
Like Michael Jackson, Bob Marley
He knew his task, and left
early.
But, the echoes still remain,
In every heart, in every lane.
A man, a legacy, a soul set free
Zubeen will always live in
melody.
